BIGBANG’s Best Album Ranks No. 1 on Oricon Weekly Chart

BIGBANG’s best album that was released in Japan has ranked number one on Oricon’s weekly album chart.

YG Entertainment announced on December 2, “BIGBANG’s best albumThe Best of BIGBANG 2006-2014 topped Oricon’s weekly chart as well, after ranking number one on the daily album chart.” It has been three years since the group topped Oricon’s weekly chart with BIGBANG 2, released in April of 2011.

BIGBANG’s best album was released on November 26 in celebration of its fifth anniversary in Japan and launching of the five-dome tour. It contains 50 hit songs in three CDs, including Japan debut song My Heaven as well as Fantastic Baby, Alive – Monster Edition and more.

The album ranked number one on the daily chart for five days straight after it was released and sold over 12,442 copies in the first week. 

BIGBANG has been meeting with the fans through BIGBANG Japan Dome Tour 2014~2015 performing at the Nagoya Dome on November 15 and 16 and the Kyocera Dome in Osaka on November 20~23. The group will continue by performing at the Fukuoka Yafuoku! Dome on December 6 and 7, the Sapporo Dome on December 20 and the Tokyo Dome on December 25~27, meeting with over 740,000 fans through 15 concerts in five cities.
