G-Dragon, DAY6, “Produce 101 Season 2,” And Suran’s Releases Make Impressive Debuts On Billboard’s World Albums Chart

Six of the spots in the top 15 of Billboard’s World Albums chart have been grabbed by Korean artists this week!

On June 13, Billboard released its latest weekly World Albums chart, which is dated for the week of June 24.

As was previously announced, G-Dragon’s new album “Kwon Ji Yong” has taken the top spot on the chart, as well as the Heatseekers Albums chart. The album has also come in at No. 192 on the Billboard 200 chart with only one day of recorded U.S. sales!

DAY6’s first full album “Sunrise” has grabbed the No. 6 spot on the World Albums chart. The album is a compilation of the group’s releases from their monthly project “EveryDay6” and new songs including their title track “I Smile.”

The top 35 trainees of “Produce 101 Season 2” have also made it to the World Albums chart with their release entitled “Produce 101: 35 Boys 5 Concept,” which includes the songs from their concept challenge. The mini album makes its debut on the chart at No. 9.

Coming in at No. 11 on the chart is SEVENTEEN’s fourth mini album “Al1” (featuring the title track “Don’t Wanna Cry”) which first made its debut two weeks ago at No. 2.

Meanwhile, BTS’s repackaged album “You Never Walk Alone” is still on the chart after recently making a return, and is currently sitting at No. 12. The group is also at No. 2 on the Social 50 chart, with Ariana Grande in the No. 1 spot this week.

Singer-songwriter Suran’s first mini album has also achieved a spot on the World Albums chart! Her new mini album “Walkin'” has made its debut on No. 14.

Congratulations to all the artists!
