TAEYANG took No.2 on American iTunes chart… Set personal best record by topping iTunes charts of 23 countries.

[일간스포츠=황지영 기자] BIGBANG’s TAEYANG is sweeping the global music scene as a solo artist.

TAEYANG’s new album “WHITE NIGHT” released on the 16 this month is proving TAEYANG’s remarkable influence in the global music scene, by topping the iTunes albums charts of 23 countries and especially the second place on the iTunes albums chart of the United States, the birthplace of pop music and the biggest pop music market in the world.

TAEYANG also set his personal best record by taking No.1 on the iTunes charts of 23 countries including France, Mexico, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Brunei, Cambodia, Chile, Columbia, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Finland, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Macao, Malaysia, Peru, Philippines, Thailand, Bahamas, Turkey, and Vietnam.

“WHITE NIGHT” is an album filled with TAEYANG’s trials and challenges for new style of music. From the selection of concept, TAEYANG directly took part in all the processes for the production of the album, to further raise its quality. He also presents a new appeal based on the collaboration with producer TEDDY and rookie songwriters including The Black Ray. Title track “DARLING” is extolled for TAEYANG’s’ soulful voice in it. “WAKE ME UP” is giving a refreshing feeling to music fans with the theme of dream and love sang in TAEYANG’s flagship style.

TAEYANG will more actively present himself to the public than ever before, by appearing in many TV shows including MBC’s “Single Life” show and “Thinking of Brother”, JTBC’s “Knowing Bros”, and SBS “Fantastic Duo”. On August 26 and 27, TAEYANG will kick off his 2017 world tour “WHITE NIGHT” at Jamsil Gymnasium in Seoul.
