Billboard Names its Top K-Pop Picks of 2015

American music chart Billboard has wrapped up 2015 with a list of their top 20 K-pop songs, and top 10 K-pop albums of 2015!

The top 20 songs list names some of the usual suspects, as well as some new faces and indie groups. At No. 20 was B1A4 with “Sweet Girl,” followed by Brown Eyed Soul‘s Naul with “Living in the Same Time” at No. 19, SHINee‘s “View” at No. 18, indie group From the Airport featuring KARA‘s Gyuri with “The Little Prince” at No. 17, GOT7‘s “If You Do” at No. 16, and BIGBANG‘s “Bae Bae” at No. 15.

Taking the No. 14 spot was rookie group Oh My Girl with their comeback song “Closer,” followed by Zico and Zion.T‘s “Eureka” at No. 13, 15&‘s Park Jimin with “Hopeless Love” at No. 12, Primary featuring rapper Iron and AOA‘s Choa with “Don’t Be Shy” at No. 11, and miss A‘s “Only You” at No. 10.

Going into the top ten, EXO took the No. 9 spot with “Call Me Baby,” Lim Kim took No. 8 with “Awoo,” G.Soul took No. 7 with “You,” 4Minute took No. 6 with “Crazy,” and Keith Ape took No. 5 with “It G Ma.

Rounding off the top 20 list is Zion.T and Crush at No. 4 with “Just.” BTS came in at No. 3 with “Run.” Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon took the runner-up position with “I,” and Billboard’s No. 1 song of 2015 was BIGBANG’s “Loser.”

For the albums, TVXQ‘s “Rise as God” earned the No. 10 spot, SEVENTEEN‘s debut album “17 Carat” took the No. 9 spot, 2PM‘s “No.5? unfortunately only earned them the No. 8 spot, Red Velvet‘s “Red” came in at No. 7, and IU‘s controversial album “Chat-Shire” came in at No. 6.

In the top five, epic rap collaborative MFBTY‘s “Wondaland” came in at No. 5, BTS‘s “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 2? earned them the No. 4 spot, Brown Eyed Girls‘ “Basic” came in at No. 3. The runner-up best album was f(x)‘s “4 Walls,” which marked their return as four members. However, it was another revamp album that took the No. 1 spot: Wonder Girls‘ “Reboot.”

The end of the year is here and Billboard has given their opinion by ranking the '20 Best K-Pop Songs of 2015'. There's an eclectic mix of top idol groups, solo singers, collaborations and hip-hop artists. Clearly effort was put in to include both chart-topping and underrated songs of 2015.
