BIGBANG’s Concerts Had the Biggest Audiences in Japan, Bigger than those of Japanese Artists



[헤럴드POP=박수인 기자] BIGBANG became no.1 in Japan’s 2016 concert audience number rankings.

According to the December edition of Japan’s Nikkei Entertainment, as much as 1.859 million people came to see BIGBANG’s 60 concerts held in Japan, making BIGBANG no.1. This is double the number of the second place, which went to Arashi. The third place went to Kanjani Eight.



This ranking includes not only foreign artists but also Japanese artists. BIGBANG was no.1 in 2015, and now it has set a new record of becoming no.1 in concert audience numbers for two years in a row.

BIGBANG already held a fan club tour and 10th anniversary concerts in Japan this year. Currently, the group is on a tour titled “BIGBANG10 THE CONCERT: 0.TO.10 -THE FINAL-“, which kicked off in Tokyo on November 5-6.

Meanwhile, BIGBANG will perform at the Fukuoka Yafuoku Dome on November 19-20 and at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka on November 25-27. The group will continue on with its tour in December and hold concerts at the Nagoya Dome on December 2-4, at the Fukuoka Yafuoku Dome on December 9-11 and at the Kyocera Dome on December 28-29. BIGBANG is to hold 16 concerts in four cities, and 781,500 people are expected to come to BIGBANG’s concerts.
