G-Dragon And Teddy Recognized For Top Earnings From Songwriting Royalties In 2017

The Korean Music Copyright Association has recognized BIGBANG’s G-Dragon and YG Entertainment producer Teddy for the high royalties they received last year from the music they wrote.

The Korean Music Copyright Association recently held their 55th Regular General Meeting and Copyright Awards Ceremony in Seoul at the 63 Convention Center.

G-Dragon and Teddy each received grand prizes because they came in No. 1 on the lists of royalties for lyrics writing and song composition within the field of popular music. G-Dragon and Teddy did not attend the event.

The award for the category of arrangement within popular music went to Vanilla Man, who has worked on music for artists including Bolbbalgan4.

Awards in other fields including Kim Sung Kyun winning for classical music, Kim Young Dong for Korean traditional music, and Kim Bang Ok for children’s songs.
