SEUNGRI Proves His Popularity in Japan… Famous Singer Pikotaro Leads the Flash Mob Performing ‘WHERE R U FROM’

[텐아시아=우빈 기자] Group BIGBANG’s SEUNGRI is showing off his presence in Japan.

On September 3 (local time), a flash mob of 100 people gathered in Japan’s Seibu Shinjuku station plaza to perform SEUNGRI’s new release, ‘WHERE R U FROM’.

A boy started dancing at the plaza where ‘WHERE R U FROM’ was playing, while the number of people dancing gradually increased to 3 people, 7 people, 30 people, and eventually to a hundred people.

The event had more meaning since Pikotaro, Japan’s renowned singer, participated and led the flash mob. He remembered the fact that BIGBANG performed ‘PPAP’ during their Japan Dome Tour, and decided to take part in SEUNGRI’s surprise flash mob.

After leading SEUNGRI’s flash mob by dancing at the front, Pikotaro stated, “Thank you for playing ‘PPAP’ while DJing and performing the song in Tokyo Dome. It was a surprise that expressed my gratitude”.

SEUNGRI previously appeared on Japan AmebaTV’s ‘7.2 A New Different Window’ on the 2nd. SEUNGRI performed missions with members of SMAP including Kusanagi Tsuyoshi, Inagaki Goro. and Katori Shingo during his appearance in the popular local program. The show had high viewing rates, becoming a hot topic among the public.

While going through his first solo tour ‘SEUNGRI 2018 1ST SOLO TOUR [THE GREAT SEUNGRI] IN JAPAN’, he will continue his tour on 9/5 and 9/6 in Fukuoka, 9/19 and 9/20 in Osaka, and continue the tour until December.
