BigBang opens on top with new album ‘E’

SEOUL, Aug. 5 (Yonhap) — BigBang topped South Korean music charts this week with “Let’s Not Love” and “Zutter,” both released on Wednesday.

The tracks are from the album “E,” the fourth and final installment in the MADE SERIES, a project in which the five-member group drops a new album on the first day of each month starting in May.

“Let’s Not Love” was No. 1 on seven charts including Genie, MNet and Naver as of 8:30 a.m., while “Zutter,” which marks the comeback of subunit GD&TOP after five years, opened at the top of Melon, the largest chart of all.

Previous releases in the series — “M,” “A,” and “D” — were also named using letters that spell out the word “made.” Each contains two tracks, and all six songs have topped South Korean music charts almost immediately upon release.
