TAEYANG’S “EYES, LIPS, NOSE” #1 ON KOREAN MUSIC CHARTS FOR 20 DAYS: “PROLONGED DOMINANCE”

[OSEN=??? ??] Despite new songs being released by artists home and abroad, TAEYANG has not let go of his #1 ranking.

“EYES, NOSE, LIPS,” released on June 3 at 0 hour as the title track of TAEYANG’s 2nd full album “RISE,” has been topping Korea’s 5 major music sites Melon, Mnet, Olleh Music, Genie and Naver Music up to June 22—for a whopping 20 days. His track ranks in the top range in other major sites as well.

Apart from knocking down 10 major real-time music charts immediately after the release, the songs from his latest album are evening “lined up” in a few music charts. “EYES, NOSE, LIPS” especially has not only topped real-time charts but also weekly charts on Mnet, Naver Music, Daum Music, Genie, Olleh Music, Cyworld and Gaon.

It arouses more attention as his ranking did not waver despite America’s top band Maroon 5’s new single “Maps” on June 17 from their latest full album “V” was released, which topped a few Korean charts.

The title track is a work for which TAEYANG wrote the lyrics. It is being highly praised for its powerful sentimentality of TAEYANG’s voice and sincerity of his music.

The track helped TAEYANG win Triple Crowns on 3 different terrestrial channels. By ranking #112 on Billboard 200, his album helped him break the record for a South Korean male artist on the American chart.
