MADE World Tour 2015: BigBang Continues In Asia After Huge Success In North America

Korean pop (k-pop) group BigBang continues the 2015 MADE World Tour after its successful North America tour.

BigBang recently performed in Sydney, Australia, on Oct. 17 through 18 and in Melbourne, Australia, on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

On Friday, Oct. 23, the five members of BigBang, G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P., Daesung and Seungri, will perform at the Cotai arena in Macau for the Hong Kong fans and the Chinese fans from Guangzhou area.

After the Macau concert, BigBang spends nine days in Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka, Japan. The concerts in Japan conclude BigBang's six-month-long MADE World Tour and bring them back to a full circle. The MADE World Tour started in Seoul, Korea on Apr. 26.

The MADE North American tour, which took place in the United States, Canada and Mexico from Oct. 2 through 11, was a huge success. BigBang attracted over 33,000 audiences in the first three days of the tour. This records the highest number of audiences any Korean artist or group accumulated in the United States.


The New York Times and Billboard covered BigBang's MADE tour, and the performances were highly acclaimed. The New York Times wrote, "A night with BigBang is a loud reminder that American exceptionalism is waning."

Billboard reviewed the New Jersey concert, which took place on Oct. 10 through 11, and wrote that the five superstars are reestablishing the concept of a boy band.

The Black Eyed Peas and other celebrities were spotted at the Los Angeles concert in Staples Center, which was visited by over 14,000 people. All tickets were sold out prior to performances.

The total number of audiences for the seven performances of the MADE North America tour is estimated to be around 75,000, according to The Korea Daily. The Korea Daily reported age demographics of audiences for the Anaheim concert included teenagers, couples and families with children.
