BIGBANG Becomes the First Korean Pop Artist to Make it on Forbes Celebrity 100 List

[동아닷컴=전효진 기자] BIGBANG made it on this year’s Forbes Celebrity 100 list. They are the first K-Pop act to land on the list.

On July 6, Forbes published an article titled, “Bigbang Theory: How K-Pop’s Top Act Earned $44 Million In A Year”.

The article describes the scale of BIGBANG’s 2015 US concerts and the profit they made from them. According to the article, BIGBANG made $44 million pretax last year. This is by far the biggest profit made among boy bands that hold arena concerts in the US and even surpasses the earnings of Maroon 5, which stands at $33.5 million.

BIGBANG’s leader G-DRAGON said during their interview, “We made more than Maroon 5? Did not know that. My mom is in charge of my earnings.”

The official Forbes Celebrity 100 list will be announced on July 12, and the article about the list will be published on July 26.

[Report@Star] From princess to Wong Fei-hung… GD’s unprecedentedly special service for the 10th anniversary of BIGBANG’s debut

[TV리포트=박설이 기자] G-DRAGON is giving a special joy to Chinese fans, with his costume-play.

G-DRAGON prepared a surprise gift for fans at a concert held in Guangzhou, China, in the afternoon on the 7. The special gift was his costume-play of Bruce Lee.

G-DRAGON appeared on the stage of the Guangzhou concert in a yellow jump-suit, the trademark of Bruce Lee. He was even holding nunchaku in his hands. GD presented passionate performances, playing all over the stage in the costume.

That was not the first time that G-DRAGON displayed a surprise makeover. During the Chinese tour, G-DRAGON went closer to local fans in a more friendly way, by standing on the stage in the costumes of Super Mario, Wong Fei-hung, and Snow White.

G-DRAGON’s costume-play service for fans did not stop at the change of clothes. Short plays that suits the costumes with another member SEUNGRI also presented great entertainment for fans. Of course, he sang in those costumes as well. The special fans service by an idol singer who celebrates the 10th anniversary of his debut is making fans shout in joy.

In the meantime, BIGBANG has been meeting Chinese fans in fan meeting tour “BIGBANG MADE VIP TOUR” held in celebration of the 10th anniversary of debut.
