[Video] “SBS GAYO-DAEJEON” Uhm Jung-hwa & T.O.P… Explosive chemistry

[SBS funE=이정아 기자] Uhm Jung-hwa’s comeback performances after her eight-year absence from the music scene have been unveiled. Uhm Jung-hwa’s special performances gave a great entertainment for music fans who have waited to see her until very late in the night.

On December 26, SBS “2016 SAF GAYO-DAEJEON” was live-broadcasted from 8:55PM, being hosted by Yoo Hee-yeol, Yuri from Girls’ Generation, and Baekhyun from EXO, the MCs of the festival.

Uhm Jung-hwa presented her comeback performances in “GAYO-DAEJEON”. She is releasing “The Cloud Dream of the Nine”, her first new album in eight years, soon. In “GAYO-DAEJEON”, Uhm Jung-hwa performed “Watch Me Move” and “Dreamer”, the double title tracks of her new album, proclaiming the return of the queen of pop music.

Uhm also presented special performances. She first sang “Rose of Betrayal”, one of her legendary hit songs, and then “D.I.S.C.O”.

Notably, BIGBANG’s T.O.P came upon the stage to perform “D.I.S.C.O” with Uhm Jung-hwa. T.O.P in pink hair boasted his flagship charisma beside Uhm Jung-hwa, to present a performance with her which made everyone naturally move their bodies. 

In the finale part of their joint performance, Uhm Jung-hwa and T.O.P sent finger heart signs toward the camera, making everyone wear a happy smile on their faces.

“GAYO-DAEJEON” was hosted for the first time in 1997 and it celebrated its 20^th anniversary this year. First-generation idol boy group SECHSKIES performed in this year’s “GAYO-DAEJEON” for the first time in 17 years and second-generation idol singers Taeyeon and Hyuna also gave solo performances. Third to fourth-generation idol singers including EXO, SHINee, BTS, GOT7, LOVELYZ, Red Velvet, MAMAMOO, BLACKPINK, BTOB, VIXX, SEVENTEEN, CNBLUE, SISTAR, GFRIEND, AOA, Apink, Ailee, NCT, EXID, Infinite, and TWICE also performed in the festival. In addition, 12 rookie idol groups including HALO, SNUPER, KNK, ASTRO, SF9, PENTAGON, MOMOLAND, Gugudan, Cosmic Girls, DIA, CLC, and LABOUM also performed in it. Total 91 idol groups gave fascinating performance in this year’s “SBS GAYO-DAEJEON”.
