YG Announces Legal Action Against Invasion Of G-Dragon’s Privacy

YG Announces Legal Action Against Invasion Of G-Dragon’s PrivacyYG Entertainment has announced that the agency will not be taking the invasion of G-Dragon’s privacy lightly. Over the weekend, September 17, G-Dragon’s private Instagram was hacked, revealing G-Dragon’s personal photos to the public.
September 21, YG announced their plans to take legal action. “Hacking a private social networking site and sharing the photos is a crime. As a result, photos that were only available to 150 close acquaintances were widely spread online.”
In addition to the hacking, photos were modified and redistributed, YG said, which are two additional crimes against G-Dragon, including defamation.
YG said, “We will be filing complaints against not only the hacker, but those who spread malicious rumors. These are measures to prevent additional invasions of artists’ privacy, which crossed the line and broke the law. YG has already asked media to refrain from using G-Dragon’s leaked photos.”
