G-Dragon Grabs 6th Win For “Untitled, 2014” On “Music Bank”

BIGBANG’s G-Dragon has won another trophy for “Untitled, 2014”!

June 30’s episode of KBS’s “Music Bank” was a half year special that featured performances by artists including GOT7, SEVENTEEN, Red Velvet, NCT 127, Highlight, MAMAMOO, and many more. You can watch the performances here!

As the show was a special, the winner for this week was not announced on air. KBS has now revealed the artist who came in first place this week on their chart (based on data from the week of June 19 to 25). The winner was G-Dragon with his solo track “Untitled, 2014,” which achieved a total score of 7,458.

MONSTA X came in second with a total score of 4,726 for “Shine Forever,” while Bolbbalgan4 and 20 Years of Age followed in third with 4,618 for “We Loved.”

Meanwhile, G-Dragon began his solo world concert tour “ACT III, M.O.T.T.E” this month, and has recently added five European dates.

G-DRAGON’s “UNTITLED” Becomes No.1 on Monthly Charts Despite Fierce Competition

[텐아시아=김하진 기자] G-DRAGON’s “UNTITLED” took the No.1 spot on Genie’s monthly chart for June, proving his huge popularity once again. 

“UNTITLED” ranked first on Genie’s monthly chart for June. It is the title track of G-DRAGON’s new solo album, his first solo album in four years. Upon release, the song dominated the charts and stayed on the top for a total of 100 hours. 

The second place went to Bolbbalgan4’s “You and Me From The Start”. The song is the original sound track of MBC’s drama ”Ruler: Master of the Mark”, and the duo’s unique voice makes the song even more charming. The third place went to Nation’s Sons “Never”. Nation’s Sons is a group formed for a competition in Season 2 of Produce 101. The fourth place went to Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You”. He is to hold a concert in Korea in September this year. 

Female musicians took the spots from No.5 to No.10. The fifth place went to Twice’s “SIGNAL” and next up on the chart was the collaboration song of Bolbbalgan4 and 20 Years Of Age “We Loved”. 

Chung Ha’s “Why Don’t You Know” took the No.7 spot and IU’s “Palette” was at 8th place, Sistar’s last single “Lonely” at 9th and Suran’s “If I Get Drunk Today” at 10th

Genie spokesperson commented, “A number of big shot singer made a comeback in June, but it was G-DRAGON who took the No.1 spot. Female singers are doing well too, and seven out of top ten spots on the chart went to female singers.”
